1. Purpose and general information
1.1. The purpose of monostatic
Electro Magnetic Wave sensors “SP4U40” (volume, curtain, fan) (below the sensor) is to
protect sectors of a prepared perimeter, open grounds, heat and cold rooms.
1.2. The sensor has a volumetric detection zone generated by an electromagnetic
emission.
The principle of operation is based on the method of linear frequency
modulation. Thanks to it as opposed to Doppler equipments, the sensitivity can
be more proportional along the full length of the detection zone and can mark
more exactly the limits of the detection zone. When an intruder appears in the
detection zone, it changes a received signal provoked by Doppler effect which
activates an alarm.
2. Distinctive Features
2.1. Sensitivity is proportional along the full length of a
detection zone. Thanks to it, the interference immunity is raised considerably.
2.2. Possibility to change the limits of the detection zone with the controller.
2.3. The sensor is immune to the influence of strong electromagnetic fields
(power lines up to 500 kV).
2.4. High noise immunity to birds and small animals in the detection zone and
the influence of meteorological factors in comparison with other monostatic
Electro Magnetic Wave sensors.
2.5. A narrow detection zone in the modification “SP4U40 (curtain)” permits to
use the sensor like linear one in the places where it is impossible to apply a
bistatic sensor. The sensor “SP4U40 (curtain)” is recommended to protect
storehouses, storages, hangars, big rooms because the detection zone of
this sensor has the form of “curtain”.
2.6. High noise immunity to the circulation of people and vehicles outside the
detection zone.
3. Specifications
3.1. The dimensions of the detection zone depend on the
modifications:
- “SP4U40 (volume)” – length 40m, width 15m, height 15m;
- “SP4U40 (curtain)” – length 50m, width 5m, height 25;
- “SP4U40 (fan)” – length 50m, width 25m, height 5m;
3.2. Supply voltage of the sensors is 10…30V.
3.3. Temperature is -40˚…+65˚C.
3.4. Variants of the mounting and the detection zone form of the sensors “SP4U40
(curtain)” and “SP4U40 (fan)”.
